Daisuke Nikadori

Born in Miyakojima City, Okinawa in 1982. From 2018, he began his creative activities based on "what exists in Okinawa." He proposes and transmits the transformation of value of Okinawan folk tools and toys using Okinawan plants into modern life, as well as Shuri Castle damaged tiles, pumice stone washed up in the Okinawan sea, waste wood and old materials at exhibitions in and outside of Okinawa. Through his works, he weaves the "past" and "future" of Okinawa.
