Monami Mori
PROFILE
He works in the rich natural environment of Yanbaru in the northern part of Okinawa's main island. He produces Ryukyu indigo-dyed and stencil-dyed fabric products. He studied classical Bingata, and while respecting the traditional techniques, he seeks to create innocent coolness that blends in with everyday life. He is fascinated by the accidental gaps that can only be created by hand. Currently struggling to cultivate Ryukyu indigo and make mud indigo.
