    Awamori Rhapsody

One of the things I have been interested in lately is how people come together spontaneously. This is because I believe that such a place should have bodies, where each being is equivalent and has something to do with creativity.
Awamori, Okinawa's representative distilled spirit, was introduced from the south 600 years ago, and the longer it is aged, the more delicious it becomes. Considering that most of the Kusu (Awamori aged for more than three years) was lost during the war, it is a sign of peace to be able to age Awamori.
Many houses in Okinawa have Kusu that have been aged for many years, and when we trace the background of the Kusu, we can see the life and life events of the owners, and beyond that, we can see how Awamori equivalently connects people.
""Awamori Rhapsody” is not in the form of music, but is an installation work that takes these episodes as its starting point, like a rhapsody with no fixed form. Through awamori, I present a space where visitors can experience the flow of time, taste, air, and events, and confront them.
