Born in Naha City, Okinawa. Yogi (maiden name) was exposed to traditional Okinawan crafts such as Bingata and dyeing from an early age. In 2012, she enrolled in Kazari School of Jewelry to learn jewelry design and techniques, which she had been interested in for a long time, and studied metal engraving under Tomas Kaijyu. In 2014, she launched her jewelry brand kamii jewelry. She completed training in goldsmithing at Okinawa Craft Promotion Center in 2019. In 2022, she will set up her studio in Okinawa Crafts Forest. kamii jewelry was launched in 2014 and is based in Naha City, Okinawa Prefecture, with the desire to create moments of emotional relaxation by wearing jewelry. The brand name "kamii" comes from her grandmother's child name "kami," which means "turtle" in the Okinawan language. She aims to create jewelry that can be passed down from parent to child along with the beauty of time.
